PdfEditorOnlineFree

Fill PDF forms privately and make every answer travel.

Complete supported interactive PDF form fields in your browser, including text boxes, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdowns, and option lists. Keep answers across pages, then download either a compatibility-first locked PDF or an editable form copy. XFA, scripts, calculations, signatures, and unsupported controls may not behave like desktop viewers and remain visible for review rather than being guessed.

Open a fillable PDF

PdfEditorOnlineFree detects AcroForm fields and keeps the document on this device. Drop one PDF here or choose it from your device.

No upload, account, or remote copy of your answers

The source PDF, every answer, page preview, appearance stream, flattened page, saved file, and reopened inspection stay on this device. The tool uses the same established on-device processing as the rest of PdfEditorOnlineFree.

Read the existing form first, then choose how portable the result should be.

PdfEditorOnlineFree keeps original answers as the starting point, groups related controls, and remembers changes across page navigation.

1

Open one AcroForm

Detect supported controls, labels, existing values, page locations, and skipped controls.

2

Complete every page

Fill text, checkbox, radio, dropdown, and option-list fields without losing earlier answers.

3

Choose compatibility

Keep the default lock option for static answers or turn it off when the recipient must edit them.

4

Download and inspect

Generate appearances, save locally, reopen the result, and inspect a rendered output preview.

Five practical field families

Text, checkbox, radio, dropdown, and option-list controls show readable labels and existing values. Related widgets share one answer.

Lock for compatibility, or stay editable

Locking flattens visible form appearances into page content and prevents later editing. Editable output retains recognized fields with regenerated appearances.

Unsupported controls stay visible

PdfEditorOnlineFree reports skipped read-only, signature, push-button, XFA, and unknown controls instead of pretending they were completed.

Practical answers before completing a PDF form.

Does PdfEditorOnlineFree upload my form or answers?

No upload occurs. On-device processing opens the PDF, detects fields, writes answers, prepares their appearance, saves, and reopens the result inside this browser tab.

Why is Lock answers into the page enabled?

Locking turns form appearances into static page content. That is the compatibility-first choice for recipients using viewers with uneven form support, but the answers cannot be edited later.

Can the completed form stay editable?

Yes. Turn off locking before export. PdfEditorOnlineFree keeps recognized AcroForm controls and regenerates their appearances, though specialized viewers can still render some forms differently.

Which PDF forms are not supported?

XFA forms, signature fields, push-button actions, unknown controls, read-only fields, and JavaScript calculations are reported but not edited.

Compatibility and limits

XFA, JavaScript calculations, digital signatures, and specialized viewer behavior are outside this AcroForm-focused release. Flattening can invalidate signatures and makes answers non-editable, so retain the original file.

No interactive fields?

A flat PDF may need Edit PDF rather than form filling. Edit PDF is not available yet; PdfEditorOnlineFree says so clearly instead of sending you into a broken workflow.
