Current open password
An open or user password is required before the document can be read. Enter that known value exactly; missing or incorrect passwords leave the selected file in place for correction.
Private security tool
Remove a known PDF open password while the source file and password stay in your browser. Enter the current password, create a separate unprotected copy, and download only after the tool proves the result opens without a password and preserves its pages. This is not password cracking; it cannot recover an unknown password and should be used only on documents you are authorized to unlock.
Source and verification
PdfEditorOnlineFree uses a password you already know. It does not crack, guess, recover, or bypass an unknown password.
The source, current password, in-memory workspace, decrypted copy, and verification checks remain on this device. PdfEditorOnlineFree does not upload the document, store credentials, or overwrite the original local file.
Authorized known-password use
You must provide a password that already opens the PDF. PdfEditorOnlineFree does not crack, guess, recover, or bypass unknown passwords, and it cannot help recover a password you have lost.

A PDF may open without a password while limiting printing, copying, or editing through owner or permission restrictions. Remove Password identifies that case and directs authorized users to the separate Unlock Restrictions tool instead.
A fresh validation pass reopens the new copy without a credential and requires the encryption dictionary to report an unprotected document before download is enabled.
PdfEditorOnlineFree checks the PDF signature, structure, and page count. Rewriting can normalize internal object order or file size, but a failed structure or page-count check blocks the output.
Clear failure states
The selected PDF stays available while you enter or correct the known password, cancel, or retry the local operation.
The tool separates unsupported protection from damaged PDF structure and never offers an unverified download.
The new copy is intentionally unprotected. Use Encrypt PDF afterward if you still need AES-256 password protection or viewer permissions.
